A Team Effort

The onset of schizophrenia can be a devastating for a person and their loved ones.

Schizophrenia InSight was founded to improve the outcomes for those affected,

for a positive quality of life to be achieved.

Our
Story

Why Schizophrenia?

Schizophrenia affected the life of several of our founders when a family member started experiencing early onset psychosis. Our eyes were opened to the difficulties with schizophrenia.

We found a lack of understanding and support, difficulty in finding care - especially for immediate intervention, limited funding for research and treatment, and the damaging effects of stigma on all those involved.

After years of working to navigate the survival and well-being journey, we decided we were ready to focus on helping others like our loved one - and we founded Schizophrenia InSight. We want a schizophrenia diagnosis to be less devastating and we want improved outcomes for all involved. We believe this is possible by increasing support and decreasing the stigma surrounding schizophrenia. This conviction is built in our organization's framework, as described below.
